The Northland women's hockey team has become the most successful hockey team the region has produced, making the women's National Hockey League final.
Northland beat Canterbury 3-1 - after losing 3-1 in a shoot out earlier in the week - this afternoon in Albany, meaning a showdown with Auckland tomorrow at 12pm.
Goals were scored by Stacey Michelsen, with two, and Ella Gunson.
