The Northland women's hockey team has continued its dream run in the National Hockey League, making it four wins from four.
The Mark Cromie Holden Northland women again had back-to-back wins over the weekend, winning 2-1 over Capital on Saturday before backing it up to win 3-2 yesterday against Central.
Saturday's win came from a scrappy performance against Capital. However, Northland did start well against Capital, creating goal-scoring opportunities in the opening quarter - but failed to execute in the circle, keeping Capital in the game.
However, Northland slowly took control through the next two quarters in taking a 1-0 lead into the final spell.
Northland finally showed their class, putting pressure on Capital and scoring through Stacey Michelsen, who went on to bag her second goal three minutes later.
