Regarding the problem of shoplifting in the Okara shopping area, particularly at The Warehouse, I believe much of the problem at the Warehouse could be alleviated by providing bags free of charge and sealing the top with a small piece of sticky tape as they do at Farmers.
At the moment if the customer wants a plastic bag they have to pay 10c, so most people carry their purchases out without a bag making it so easy for shoplifting.
There is meant to be someone at the door looking to see if you have got a receipt but invariably there is no one there, and people are not easy to watch all the time.
