It is obvious that the National Party never understood the simple mathematics concepts of addition and subtraction when they are endeavouring to add 58,000 migrants into Auckland yearly but only building a projected 30,000 houses. Even if they could build 1000 houses per week? It does not take into consideration the people already living in Auckland who want to buy their own home and are unable to do so. It is simple maths equation that a whopping demand is exceeding an uncertain supply.
Now the powers that be need to import yet more people to assist with the build, because they have been neglectful and short-sighted in training our own youth through trade training and apprenticeship schemes that would have found many of our young people in work today. One has to spend (subtract) money in order to gain ( add) to the economy. That is how the Labour Party got NZ out of its huge economic Depression.
We gained much needed infrastructure by doing this e.g. Rail which the Govt has now closed or let run down to the extent where it has become uneconomical and yet they spend billions and billions on roads that are becoming more and more clogged and in the North, more and more rugged.
