Auckland Mayor Len Brown attempts to justify his overseas jaunt by dismissing global warming sceptics with "Members of the Flat Earth Society may still claim climate change doesn't exist."
In reality he would be hard-pressed to find any global-warming cynic who refutes that climate change is indeed occurring. Since our planet formed there has been continual climate change and will be until it's eventual demise.
The scepticism relates to whether the change is man-made or a natural phenomena, with other scientists studying solar behaviour predicting an approaching mini ice age.
Nature doesn't care about computer-based theories and will always do it's own thing, and computers will inevitably churn out answers in accordance with input data and the programmer's intention.
