Five more people were arrested during drug raids around Northland.
Dillon Finlayson, 23, Te Whareumu Hori Kingi, 33, of Poroti, Regimen Miguel Martin, 30, of Kiripaka, Tawaiti Snowden, 25, of Hikurangi and James Namana, 33, a drainlayer of Kensington, appeared in the Whangarei District Court on Friday on drugs charges.
Finlayson is facing 35 charges of supplying meth, six of possessing meth for supply, three charges of conspiracy to deal in meth, one of dealing in cannabis, and another of participating in an organised criminal group. Martin also has a long list of charges, including 26 charges of supplying meth, six of possessing meth for supply, six of conspiring to deal in meth, four of manufacturing P, three of dealing in cannabis, and of possession of cannabis plant for supply.
Snowden is charged with 15 counts of supplying meth, four of conspiring to deal in meth, four of possessing meth for supply, one of possessing precursor substances, and another of participating in an organised criminal group. Namana is charged with 20 counts of supplying meth, one of possessing meth for supply, and one of conspiring to deal in meth. Kingi is facing one charge of possessing meth for supply, one of supplying meth, and one of possessing utensils.
All five were remanded in custody by Judge Keith de Ridder until January 5.
