Kaipara District Council is getting out and about next month to promote and get feedback on its Annual Plan and other projects.
Commissioner chairman John Robertson said there are no significant changes from the council's 10-year Long Term Plan in the Annual Plan for the 2016/17 financial year.
"We want community feedback on the plan and we're holding round table sessions around the district so people can give us their views. Our Annual Plan consultation document provides detail. One issue of interest is the reduction of debt by $10.1 million," Mr Robertson said.
He said KDC has a few interesting projects happening which actively involve members of the community and feedback on progress is being sought.
"One project which is of great interest in Dargaville is the library redesign. The concept plans for this will be on display for comment. In Mangawhai, the early work on the town plan is also progressing, as are the 'place making' concepts for Kaiwaka and Dargaville. These projects help shape our communities. Therefore community involvement and views are essential."
