One person has died in a crash in Kaiwaka which has closed SH1.
Police and emergency services are at the scene of the crash where a truck has collided with a car. One person has died at the scene.
The crash occurred just after 3.30pm and further details are not yet confirmed, however diversions are being put in place and motorists can expect delays.
Traffic is being diverted from State Highway One in both directions via Mangawhai.
That is down the Kaiwaka-Mangawhai Road, down Insley Street, and then back out to SH1 via Mangawhai Road.
The Serious Crash unit will also be attending to conduct a scene examination.
