The usual wetsuits were swapped for fancy dress when the Bream Bay Sliders took to the water at their end of year get-together and Christmas do at Waipu Cove.

Club spokesman Roger Hall said the event, on Sunday, was a chance for the club's members and their families to get together, have a bit of fun and dress up to go out on to the water.

"And it was a lot of fun," he said.
