Stunning knocks by Joey Yovich (44), Page (65 not-out), and Harry Darkins (49) furthered City's dominance with the bat. They are now in second place behind Kaipara.
A tough day for the bowlers, Page said the wicket didn't have much give. "It was a pretty flat, docile pitch," he said.
"It didn't do a heck of a lot off the seam ... but it was one the batters enjoyed."
Despite this, Thompson (3-34), Yovich (2-11), and newcomer Stacy Hyndman (2-39) managed to get some return for their respective overs.
High scoring for Kamo, Hyde (68) and Clarke (55) were superb with the bat, while bowlers Ben Turner, Hyde, and Singh each took one wicket.
Playing at Bourne Dean Domain, Kaipara disposed of their visitors, Maungakaramea, despite the travelling side making a good dent on the scorecard on day one of the fourth round last weekend.
Needing to chase a target of 138 runs, Kaipara did so with five wickets remaining to remain on top of the standings.
At Kensington Park, Onerahi Central were able to get the better of Whangarei Boys' High School's 1st XI.
All out for 165 runs, Boys' High's Chamodh Peiris, Tyler Lortan and Luke Trigg all scored runs into the 20s during the first innings, however Onerahi made use of Henry Cooper who proved to be a weapon with the bat and ball.
Cooper scored 76 not out while also taking four wickets as his side rolled past Boys' High's first innings total with several wickets to spare.
The focus of Northland's premier sides switches to the 50-over format as the Lion Red Cup resumes this weekend. At Kensington Park, Onerahi are set to face Maungakaramea, and Whangarei Boys' High School take on City, while Kaipara host Kamo at Bourne Dean Domain.
