One person is trapped after a truck and car collided this morning.
Firefighters were arriving at the scene of the crash near Whangarei at 7.40am and police were also in attendance.
A Police Northern Communications shift manager said a male was still trapped in the car at about 7.49am.
The trapped person was thought to have minor injuries.
The crash happened on Ngunguru Road at a corner known locally as "Murphy's corner".
