NorthTec's Raumanga campus buzzed with activity when more than 2000 people turned out to take part in Sunday's second annual Community Day.
Headline entertainers JGeeks finished the day with style when they performed in front of a large crowd and visitors queued up for photos with the trio afterwards. Families made the most of the free activities on offer, including a bouncy castle, Segway riding and "bumper ball" Zorbing.
With most NorthTec programme areas represented, there were many inquiries about studying next year, and visitors took the opportunity to chat with staff and students about their tertiary education options.
Community stalls ranging from election services to childcare organisations were also in demand.
Local two-piece band A2Stix provided the musical backdrop to the day, which was again judged a success, NorthTec events and promotions co-ordinator Ellie Ball said.
