A cheeky thief has been given a warning by police after he allegedly stole a window washing brush from a service station, then used it to wash car windows in a supermarket carpark.
Acting Sergeant Aaron Furze said the man allegedly took the brush and a bucket from Z Energy in Kamo Rd on Saturday, then went to the nearby Four Square, where he washed windows of vehicles in the carpark.
Mr Furze said the man, aged 19, allegedly demanded money from the vehicle owners regardless of whether they had wanted their windows washed.
The man had made about $30 when police arrived and he was taken back to the police station -- and the equipment returned -- before receiving an official warning.
