A Whangarei family is appealing for more cash donations to fund a second container-load of items to help Vanuatu residents recover from Cyclone Pam.
Gina Sammons' family sent a 20 foot container two weeks ago to Lamine, a village about 50km from Vanuatu capital Port Vila, laden with bedding, clothing, garden and building materials.
The container arrived into Port Vila last week.
Ms Sammons' family has since collected more items bound for the destroyed island but need $6000 -$7000 to pay for a second container.
