A Kerikeri businessman is offering to shed his hair - and possibly his moustache of 35 years - to raise money for the Leukaemia and Blood Cancer Foundation.
Dave Keen's hair will be coming off at 8am tomorrow at the Pear Tree restaurant, next to Kerikeri's Stone Store, as part of Shave for a Cure.
Mr Keen said he was still debating whether his moustache would go as well, but he would make the sacrifice if enough pledges were forthcoming.
He said he wanted to do something after the deaths of a nephew and a close friend. The death of Jock Hobbs of leukaemia at the age of 52 had also come as a shock.
