Bowls: Tiger Turf pairs league completed

The Tiger Turf-sponsored winter three player pairs league was completed last weekend with the final sections of the event being played at Kensington and Mangawhai greens.

Both sections had eight entries and congratulations to these teams who will play in the regional final to be played at One Tree Point greens on July 25.

Kensington:

1st: Dean McMurchy, Ian McMurchy, Maureen Parker; 2nd: L Gary and Anne Herbert, Grant Bush.

Mangawhai:

1st: Neville Franks, Ron Heaton and Noel Lynch; 2nd: Graham Wintle, Charlie Shepherd and Wayne Williams.

All qualifiers please note that reporting time is 9am and play starts at 9.30am.

Umpires Association Winter tournament is to be played at the Kamo greens on Saturday, July 18, from 9am.

This is an any combination triples event. A few entries are still available and players wanting a game (including umpires) please contact Bruce Scott of the Umpires Association for an entry form.

Only 16 teams will be accepted and the tournament is well sponsored.

An amended Centre programme has been sent to all clubs by email, would you please check this as some events and venues have been changed to accommodate changes to the New Zealand programme.

If you have any problems holding an event on the rescheduled date, please contact the Centre immediately.

Some clubs have not forwarded their club programme for the new Centre handbook. Please forward these to the office as they will be off to the printers in a few days.
