Bowls: Far North trio triumphs at Hikurangi

The final section of the Tiger Turf winter league was held at the Hikurangi greens last Sunday.

Congratulations to the winners Barry Allison, David Hood and Toto Thompson of Far North. Second were Cedric Campbell, Teri Stout and Toto Thompson of the Kaitaia Church Road Club.

Third equal were Anne Bateman, Sam Nelson, Lang Thorburn and Ardy Marsh, George Lyddiard and Dean McMurchy.

The final for the regional event will be played at the Hikurangi greens on August 9.

The following teams will compete in the final:

Reporting time is 9am. Entry is free. Lunches will be available for purchase.

The winner of this event will receive $500 and will represent the area at the New Zealand final to be played at Lyall Bay, Wellington, on September 6. The runner-up will receive vouchers from Liquor King.
