You might not get the top team but you can still get the real deal, as 60 Northland basketball coaches and teachers learned when New Zealand Breakers staff came to Whangarei.
Sky City Breakers trainer Hayden Allen (with the ball) led two training sessions at ASB Stadium yesterday, aimed at boosting coaching skills and the sport's profile in Northland.
The coaches' workshops come as a trade-off for the Breakers' being unavailable to play a game in Northland this season.
The workshops are being run in association with the Rising Suns In-school Basketball Programme, Jennian Homes, and the Meadow Fresh Champions Programme.
