Fancy taking a journey along the yellow brick road; leaving Kansas for somewhere over the rainbow?
The lines are familiar, the scene is almost set, and auditions are soon to be underway for Whangarei Theatre Company's (WTC) next big musical production, the Wizard of Oz.
There have been several stage versions based on the book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, written in 1900, followed by the 1939 film featuring Judy Garland as Dorothy, and several stage adaptations.
For its 2017 production of the magical, musical fable-drama, WTC is looking for children and adults of all shapes, sizes and ages prepared to sing, do some movement and read from the script for their audition.
No appointment is necessary on November 5, 10am to 5pm, and November 6, 12.30pm to 4.30pm at The Riverbank Centre, 71 Reyburn House Lane, Whangarei.
