A man as been arrested and charged over an incident in Kamo last month where armed police closed down a residential street.
Northland police said today they have arrested a 32-year-old Kamo man who has been charged with threatening to kill and possession of methamphetamine.
The arrest is in relation to an incident in Kamo on January 29 where police rushed to Charles St, in Kamo, and locked the area down after reports of a man with a firearm.
"Police are very thankful for the public's assistance with the matter," Inspector Justin Rogers said of the arrest today.
The man has been remanded in custody to appear in the Whangarei District today.
