Loud - Rihanna
4.5/5
Loud is Rihanna's fifth album and it's filled with fantastic songs that are all about sexuality and confidence. All the songs except one had me excited about what I was hearing.
The first time I played the first track, S&M, I found myself singing along to it before it was halfway through. In true Rihanna style, it's a sexy and catchy song.
Next is What's My Name featuring Drake - one of my favourite tracks.
Fading is a catchy chick song that tells that loser of a man in your life that you're losing interest in him; Only Girl is another of my favourite tracks and Man Down showcases Rihanna's true Barbados twang.
Her vocals really shine through in California King Bed, and with Nicki Minaj on Raining Men you know it's got to be fun, cheeky and a strong women's anthem.
The album also features Rihanna's version of Love the Way You Lie with Eminem.
My ultimate favourite on the album is Skin. The song is uber sexy and I have had it on repeat since the first listen. The only track I found myself skipping through was Cheers, and for that reason I couldn't give the album a five-star rating.
