Even though I wasn't familiar with Tommy Ill, I still found a slight familiarity in his music.
Three EPs in, prolific MC Tommy Ill has released his self-titled debut album. As soon as I played the album the music reminded me a little of Gorillaz.
Although I hadn't consciously
listened to Ill before now, some of his music sounded familiar, with some of the tunes and lyrics featuring on other artists' work.
You'll hear some cheeky rhymes and some old-skool tunes in the mix.
The more I listened to Ill's album, the more impressed I became with his work - I even found myself singing along to many of the tracks after just a few listens.
Tommy Ill's album is a lot of fun. If you're the serious type, perhaps this album will help you chill out a bit.
