Erakah is an artist whose voice is filled with warmth and innocence.
The Kiwi R&B/pop singer has released her 11-track debut album, Infatuated, featuring an all-star Kiwi line-up with artists such as hip-hop rapper PNC, K.One and J. Williams all making an appearance.
I love Erakah's voice.
It's pure, and soothing, so I was expecting a lot from this talented young woman.
When I played the album I was, unfortunately, left slightly bored. I listened to it three times and each time, enjoyed it only slightly more.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the music, but it definitely didn't catch me and I skipped to my favourite tracks on the album - I Need You, featuring PNC, the remake Tell Me, featuring J. Williams and the popular Wonderful.
Although there is a mix of ballads and dance, many of the songs sounded similar.
The voice, however, is awesome.
I'd love to hear more from Erakah and will be looking forward to her second album.
