Doggy school opened on Monday and about 100 pupils turned up.
Klipped had been operating out of its Kamo Rd premises since 2014 but moved on Monday to a purpose-built dog daycare centre on Springs Flat Rd.
The building, on 0.2ha, caters for at least 100 dogs, of all ages and breeds, as well as owner Kath Dean and four staff with room for more pooches.
"The number is going up all the time," said Ms Dean, "which is why we had to shift to the new building."
She said the business started as a dog grooming centre but one day a woman asked if she would mind if Ms Dean looked after her dog for the day.
