About 900 children descended on Baycourt to compete in the North Island regional Jump Jam competition.
Jump Jam creator and Tauranga local Brett Fairweather said the 78 Jump Jam teams had a "huge" day.
"The day went well, the winners are really happy and standards seem to increase naturally each year.
"A lot of awards were handed out, Tauranga was one of the strongest regions in the North Island," Mr Fairweather said.
Of the Tauranga entrants, Ella McSweeney of Omanu School took out the X Factor category, the school also won the Year 1-4 open, Papamoa School won the Year 4-6 novice category and St Mary's won the all-boys section.
