When you're trying to lose weight, it can sometimes feel like you've gone years without indulging in a piece of cake or a takeaway.
And you're not altogether wrong - because a woman will spend more than three years on a diet by the time she's 30, according to a survey.
The average female dieter will have spent 168 weeks trying to lose weight between the ages of 18 and 30.
By the time they reach 40, this rockets to just under six years, or 308 weeks. The average woman diets twice a year, and loses 1.8 kilograms each time.
It means she will have lost a staggering 14 stone by the time she turns 30. And by 40 she will have lost 25 stone.
