Party animal comes to town

We were so taken with and amused by rising American star Andrew WK we put him on the cover of TimeOut a few weeks ago when he blew through town to promote his debut album I Get Wet. Now, the newly-appointed "saviour of rock" is coming back with his band to play those songs - such as It's Time to Party, Party Hard and let's not forget Party Til You Puke - which have made him a Next Big Thing in certain parts of the world. Time to make up our own minds when he plays the Regent (in the St James complex) on Tuesday, May 21. Tickets go on sale on Monday.

For rock of a far more refined vintage there's always the return of Chris Isaak. The sometime actor is taking time off from his sitcom The Chris Isaak Show to swing through town with twangin' band Silvertone in support of his latest album Always Got Tonight. Isaak plays the St James on Wednesday, June 5 and tickets go on sale on Wednesday.
