Serves 4
12 fresh figs
Softened butter for greasing the dish, plus 2 knobs extra
Juice of one orange
1 Tbs Cointreau
1 Tbs brown sugar
200g mascarpone
3 tsp honey
1 Preheat oven to 180C. Grease a baking dish with butter.
2 Halve the figs, cutting off the tip of the stem and arrange in the dish.
3 Squeeze over the orange juice, scatter the sugar and drizzle over the Cointreau.
4 Bake for 30 minutes. Mix together the mascarpone and honey to spoon over the figs before serving.
