The chief executive for Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou has resigned after taking the reins just over four months ago.
In a statement released by the group this afternoon, it announced the resignation of Dean Moana, who took up the position in late April.
Chairman Selwyn Parata cited "personal reasons'' for Mr Moana's sudden resignation, which will take effect immediately.
"Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou thanks Mr Moana for his ongoing contribution to Ngati Porou and wishes him and his whanau all the very best for the future,'' Mr Parata said.
Mr Moana previously worked and enjoyed a 30-year career helping to build various Kiwi companies mainly in the seafood sector.
