The app allows you to choose the notifications that you would like to receive. The app provides options for breaking news, interests and location-based notifications. If you select breaking news, you will receive the latest news notifications from across the app in addition to any sub-categories you select.
To set notifications:
Open the app
Tap the 'Profile' icon in the bottom navigation
When the Profile screen opens scroll down the App Settings and tap 'Notifications'
On the notifications screen you can turn ON/OFF the notifications for the app on both iOS and Android.
IOS:
When you tap to toggle ON/OFF notifications you will be presented with a prompt that will take you to your app settings for NZ Herald
Tap on 'Notifications' and toggle ON/OFF 'Allow Notifications'
Android:
When you tap to toggle ON/OFF notifications you will be presented with a prompt that will take you to your app settings for NZ Herald
Tap on 'Notifications' and toggle ON/OFF to 'Show notifications'
Once you have turned OFF notifications in your settings, all notification options will be greyed out. When you have turned ON notifications in your settings, you will be able to choose the notifications that you would like to receive.
