HB Opera House fire clean up.
Police believe a fire was deliberately lit in Hawke's Bay Opera House earlier this week. Firefighters contained the fire to the loading bay at the back of the Hastings building. Some electrical wiring has been damaged along with historic posters on the walls. Smoke entered the stage area but was stopped going further by a fire screen.

Flemington Mud Run
A small school in Central Hawke's Bay hosted the 6th annual Flemington Mud Run. Flemington School Parents and Friends Group are using the event to fundraise for new sports equipment. Over 300 people of all ages braved the famous mud slide and other obstacles to compete over 2.5 to 10km distances.
