Hawke's Bay's senior men's softball side must win one of their remaining two round robin games today to secure a top four play-off berth at the National Fastpitch Championship in Lower Hutt.
"One win will do but we'll go for two," Hawke's Bay assistant coach Corey Tamati said after the Bay's second day of play ended at Fraser Park yesterday.
Ngati Kahungunu Iwi Hawke's Bay are scheduled to play Japan Universities and Counties-Manukau/Waikato today.
One win will see them maintain their fourth spot which was gained after a 4-3 win against North Harbour in their first outing yesterday.
Tamati said the match was a topsy turvy one in which the Bay's Black Sox pitcher Regan Manley performed well.
