Taradale Association Football Club honoured their first husband-and-wife life members on Saturday night.
Marking the club's 50 anniversary celebrations, Taradale named Gail Hall as one of its five life members honoured this year.
Hall is the wife of club stalwart and coach Jamie Hall, who was made a life member two years ago.
The other life members named on Saturday night were Peter Grant, Lisa Coutts, Vicki Foote and Lofty Sherlock.
"Lofty was a founding father of the club and we thought he was a life member but apparently he wasn't so we put that right," Jamie Hall told SportToday.
About 200 people attended the celebrations, including many from throughout the country and one from Perth, Australia. The club also acquired a new honour's board with senior members and brothers Darren and Brad Mason unveiling a board in memory of their father, the late Bob Mason, who died eight weeks ago.
The Mason family have religiously supported the club and have sponsored the main end-of-season award, the Sportsperson of the Year.
This year the award went to Shelley Bowie, a club committee member and a member of the Taradale Hot Chicks second division women's team.
At the height of the celebrations, Jamie Hall, who sent a text to SportToday curious to find out a Lotto Federation League result, revealed to partygoers the men's team had clinched third spot after a sluggish start to the season.
