Professional cyclist Jeremy Vennell captured Hawke's Bay's senior monthly sports award for November.
Last month Vennell finished fourth overall in the prestigious Tour of Southland after wearing the yellow jersey for three stages. Vennell was also selected in the New Zealand elite team for the Oceania Championships in Wanganui.
Central Hawke's Bay dressage exponent Rebecca Goldsbury took out the junior section of the Sport Hawke's Bay organised awards. Riding Rathowen VIP, Goldsbury, helped New Zealand win the FEI World Dressage Challenge.
The Kiwis beat China, Chinese Taipei, Korea and Hong Kong with Goldsbury placing fifth in the overall standings.
The Hawke's Bay senior men's golf team took out the teams section for their win against Auckland which saw them lift the Auck-Hawk Trophy for the first time in the three year history of the competition.
