Are you eligible for a KiwiBuild Home?
To be eligible to buy a KiwiBuild home, you need to:
•be at least 18 years old
•be a New Zealand Citizen, Permanent Resident or a Resident Visa holder who is 'ordinarily resident in New Zealand'
•not currently own a home or other property
•have an annual income less than $120,000 for a single buyer or less than $180,000 total for two or more buyers
•intend to own and live in the home for at least one year for a studio or one-bedroom home, or three years for homes with two or more bedrooms.
Maraenui – looking ahead
Kāinga Ora and Napier City Council are collaborating on the Activate Maraenui concept plan that will revitalise Maraenui and the surrounding community. The council is looking in depth at the community infrastructure components that will accelerate Maraenui's economic and social development. The revised concept plan will be shared in the coming months.
Kāinga Ora's neighbourhood plan will build on the community enhancements and detail the range of housing types that would benefit the area, including affordable housing options.
