The unruly weather has not only lashed the Bay this week but also affected the 2017 Art Deco Weekend.
Due to the wet conditions the Speakeasy Burlesque has been postponed.
"We've put this off for as long as we can but in the end, the weather has beaten us and we're going to have to postpone this weekend's Speakeasy Burlesque show in Napier," said producer Matt Wiseman.
" Many of our performers can't leave their homes and those that can face the prospect of getting trapped in Taupo or other outposts throughout the North Island as the weather worsens and more roads remain or are newly closed."
The show has now been rescheduled until late September to coincide with the launch of the 2018 Tremains Art Deco Festival programme.
