It will be good weather for kite fliers this week, with gale-force winds expected to arrive.
After a warm day yesterday, with temperatures in the high-teens, MetService meteorologist Claire Flynn said Hawke's Bay can expect cooler and winder conditions from tomorrow.
"Today we still have some high cloud around, and there is a bit of rain around further east but there will be just a chance of a shower.
"Later this week, we are looking at showers developing from Tuesday and we will be getting some westerlies coming in, they will be strong as well - possibly gales. Then on Wednesday we will have a few showers up the coast but they should be clearing as the day goes on."
The strong southwesterly wind will start off strong but would gradually ease throughout the day.
