Punishment for P
Please explain to me why P dealers are getting slapped on the wrist with a wet bus ticket when it comes to sentencing. Recently a supplier got 3 years 9 months. He could be out in 15 months - back into the community with more contacts than when he started dealing in the first place.
There is no punishment for these suppliers. They get to have a flash house, good clothes, flash car, overseas trips, plenty of food for their kids.
Holiday in prison for 15 months? Hell, sounds like a good deal to me.
Too bad about the kids that have parents on P that have no food, no clothes and nothing to look forward to until CYPS come and take them away and that's not before they have been hit or abused.
P suppliers and dealers need to be given the worst possible sentence.
I for one don't want these people in my community supplying the dealers that get our youth all messed up. Until they are off the street no one is safe.Lynda JamesHastingsState funded With reference to your column in the Napier Courier Mr Tremain.
I am not impressed with what you wrote, and that was: "If you go back as Government" to fund your proposed $34 billion investment programme, finance was to come from the partial sales of this country's State-owned enterprises.
Now tell me why Mr Key and Mr English have both stated to the people of this country that this money from the sales were to be used to cover present debts.
You are doing the scaremongering that you are talking of, or is it best called propaganda.
Please get your facts right.
