Hawke's Bay's weather is set to steadily improve across this week and keep relatively dry and windless for the annual Tremains Corporate Triathlon this Sunday morning.
Metservice meteorologist Cameron Coutts said there would be an "improving trend" in the weather throughout the week after the past week of rain.
"Today's showers will be far and few between and only about in the morning with fine spells in the afternoon," he said.
With a base temperature of 18 degrees this week Mr Coutts anticipated a 20 degree day today, 21 degree day on Friday and a 22 degree day on Saturday.
While showers are set to develop on Saturday due to a southerly developing, Sunday would see those showers clear with fine spells increasing and a high of 20 degrees.
