Hawke's Bay residents can expect the four seasons this week, with a "mixed bag" of fine, rainy, warm and cold weather ahead.
MetService meteorologist Hannah Moes said today would be mostly fine, with morning cloud giving way to sunshine in the afternoon. Light winds are expected and a high of 20C.
The fine spell comes after 2.4mm of rainfall earned Hastings the title of the wettest city in the country yesterday. Rain is set to arrive in the region again tomorrow.
"There's a front moving up the country and it should reach Hawke's Bay by [this] morning," Ms Moes said.
The front will herald a period of rain in the morning, followed by fine weather and southerlies.
