Hawke's Bay wakeboarders, power boaters and athletes will be relieved by a fine weather forecast this weekend.
A high to the east of the country is blocking the region from broad low with associated fronts out to the west which will be causing adverse weather in other parts of the country this weekend.
Participants in the 2018 NZ Cable National Wakeboarding Championships at Backpaddock Lakes, the Thunder Out East - Off Shore Power Boat Racing and the Shed 2 Triathlon & Duathlon Race 35 at Pandora Pond will be graced with mild weather.
