Sporting activities should be all go this weekend, with fine weather forecast for next week, though early starters might have to rug up on the sidelines.
Today should be sunny and fine with gusty westerlies and a high of 20C, while Tomorrow the temperature could climb to 23C.
Saturday should be fine with a high of 24C. Showers will return briefly on Sunday, before the sun returns.
Meteorologist John Law said the rest of the week was expected to stay fine with daytime temperatures hovering around the high-teens heading into Anzac Day on Wednesday.
"A lot of the weather over the next few days is dominated by westerlies or southwesterlies, which means Hawke's Bay on the eastern side of the country will be getting some of the better weather, the drier weather as well,'' Law said.
