One person was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital in a moderate condition on Sunday morning after a “water-related” incident at Waimarama Beach at about 10.30am.
A Hato Hone St John spokesperson confirmed that the incident was boating related, and that a rescue helicopter did not attend.
