The Waipawa Spring Festival - Duck Day - drew a record crowd on Saturday - not just festival-goers either, there were even more ducks than ever before.
The Corporate Duck Race had grown from last year's 17 entries to a field of 68, with rivalries between offices, industries and even families. New World took out the Corporate Race and Epic Ministries were judged the best Dressed Duck by Adam and Megan from the Hits Hawke's Bay.
There was a record number of people at the river to watch the duck races - with Higgins having dug a channel and a holding pen which meant no ducks could escape.
A Charity Art Duck auction is ongoing on Trade Me, with ducks painted and decorated by well-known Hawke's Bay artists including Sally McGuire from Artmosphere, Sue Lund, Ian Chapman, Gary Waldrom, Jaine Hansen and more.
All proceeds from the Art Duck auction go to Ronald McDonald House ... you can see them on Kingfisher Gift's Facebook page and bid for them on Trade Me.
