Efforts to ensure all members of the Bay exercise their democratic right have seen a positive response in the lead up to the election.
Special attention was given to prisoners, elderly and the sick to ensure they were able to cast a vote.
An estimated 200 people, including non-residents at Summerset in the Orchard took advantage of an early voting booth which had been set up on September 12.
Village Assistant, Kath Exeter said it had been set up for the residents convenience and for those who weren't able to make it to a polling booth on the day.
"I've never struck it before. It was very well-received," Ms Exeter said.
