The proposed Velodrome is back on the Napier City Council agenda.
The establishment of a Hawke's Bay Multi-Use Velodrome Project Steering Group is to be discussed at a council meeting this afternoon.
The group will support the project sponsor, the chief executive, who is accountable to the council for the successful delivery of the Napier Arena project.
The group will provide oversight to the project and report to the project sponsor on the programme's elements. The group's potential members, a minimum of five and maximum of seven, have also been proposed.
These include an EIT representative, Chris Collins, a representative from the Regional Indoor Sports & Events Centre Trust, Craig Waterhouse, a Sport Hawke's Bay representative, Damon Harvey, a representative from Cycling New Zealand, Ivan Aplin, one "other" representative, John Palairet, and two representatives from council yet to be determined.
