A man charged with internet child pornography offences has been allowed continued name suppression despite pleading guilty in Napier District Court yesterday.
The man admitted 21 charges of possession of objectionable material, but two charges of supplying objectionable material were adjourned without pleas and the man was remanded on bail to appear again next Wednesday, with the order for interim name suppression extended by Judge Bridget Mackintosh.
Defence counsel Leo Lafferty said the man, a United States citizen who was charged last month, is now subject to a deportation order.
