The Bay's tourism industry is in good heart.
The Hawke's Bay Tourism Awards were launched last night at the Art Deco Masonic Hotel in Napier. The Hawke's Bay Tourism Industry Association board provided an overview of the awards process and give details of a mentoring workshop.
Hawke's Bay Tourism also gave an update on the HBRC funding application. Former award winner and guest speaker Michele Cole applauded the awards which she said made establishments look at how their systems operate.
"I was gobsmacked at the amount of work that went into entering," The Crown Hotel general manager said.
She said she was extremely proud of her achievement.
