All lanes on the Napier-Taupo Road are open again after the trailer of a truck was blown over in high winds this morning, blocking one of the lanes.
The truck tipped about midday at Windy Gap, about 55km northwest of Napier and about 5km south of Te Haroto. The truck hauling the trailer stayed upright. The driver was not injured.
Winds in the area also seem to be easing, but Police are reminding motorists to be careful on the roads and to please drive to the conditions.
