Local rugby fans get the chance to buy tickets from 9am today for the Investec Rugby Championship test match between the All Blacks and Argentina at McLean Park, Napier on September 6.
Tickets went on sale to Magpies sponsors and season members three weeks ago, while the NZRU rewarded their loyal sponsors, volunteers and All Black supporters club with preferential rights to purchase tickets, allowing for all of these supporters to take up the opportunity before the general public.
All remaining tickets available will go on sale to the general public from today at 9am. Tickets can be purchased through all Ticket Direct outlets including at Hawke's Bay Rugby Union at McLean Park; calling 0800 224 224 or www.ticketdirect.co.nz.
McLean Park will be converted into a 22,500 fully seated stadium including the embankment being transformed to a 9,000 seated stand utilising the same temporary seating used at Eden Park during the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
The interest in the game has been unprecedented with Hawke's Bay Rugby commercial manager Jay Campbell confirming that the Union is expecting demand for tickets to exceed supply and is urging all rugby fans to get in quick to secure their tickets to the biggest event in Hawke's Bay in 2014.
